TOO Playground – Where Things Come to Life

TOO Playground is an interactive web platform that lets users explore, learn, and experiment with TOO (Things Object-Oriented) — a minimalist yet powerful rule-based language for creating smart, connected systems without coding expertise.

Developed as a final-year Software Engineering project at the Open University of Israel (2021), the system allows users to connect physical devices (like temperature sensors or switches) and create virtual things that automate behaviors through simple logic — for example, a thermostat that turns off the heater when the room gets too hot.

Built with Flask, Vue.js, and MQTT, TOO Playground offers a collaborative environment where users can view, edit, and share “things” across a shared domain — bridging the gap between the physical and virtual worlds.
